Luise Müller is a moral and political philosopher at Freie Universität Berlin. She is interested in the question whether and how the advancements of digital technologies and artificial intelligence impact our moral and political status as equals in society: when does the deployment of such technologies exacerbate hierarchical tendencies in social relations, and how can we use them to make social practices fairer, and robustly egalitarian?

Before joining Freie Universität, Luise held research and teaching positions at the Universities of Dresden, Hamburg and Humboldt-Universität Berlin, and was a visiting scholar at Columbia University and King’s College London. She is the author of The Right to Punish – Political Authority and International Criminal Justice (Cambridge University Press, 2024).
