Changbai Li

Changbai Li is a Master's student in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at Oregon State University. He has experience working on LLM agents, reasoning model safety and consistency research.

Prior to his entry into academia, he worked as a software engineer across web, game development, and virtual reality; co-founded an AI assistant startup; and managed Xinchejian, China's first makerspace. He was the web developer for The Treacherous Turn, a tabletop role-playing game about AI loss of control mentored by Daniel Kokotajlo. Moving forward, he is interested in applying his technical expertise to identify and mitigate socio-technical risks from advanced AI.
